The history of red arrow delivery service co., inc.

  May 2, 1962, brothers Tom and Ken Cantrell, founded Red Arrow Delivery Service with a truck, a car, and a contract from local a drug store.

On June 10, 1965 Red Arrow Delivery was incorporated in Tennessee, Tom Cantrell the President and Ken Cantrell the Vice President.

In 1972, Red Arrow was awarded the ACI contract for the pickup and delivery of Airfreight in Nashville.

After the addition of linehaul service in 1973, The Cantrell brothers opened terminals in Birmingham (1984) and Huntsville (1985), Alabama; and Memphis, TN in 1988.

In 1991, Tom and Ken entered into a stock sale agreement with  Rocket Express,Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia. 

Unfortunately, the consolidation would cause  Red Arrow Delivery Service to enter a Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February 1996. May 17, 1997, under the leadership of Wayne Vandevort (an employee since 1983), Red Arrow Delivery Service was reborn. 

Red Arrow Delivery Service is dedicated and committed  to providing the  quality service Tom and Ken Cantrell conceptualized over 55 years ago.
